MY STORY

Why Darul Arqam Institute Oxford?

I'm Imam Abrar Mehmood. I served as a Muslim Chaplain in Oxfordshire/USA and HMP Grendon/Springhill. I lectured and taught at various Islamic institutes in Oxfordshire, among them Darul Uloom Abingdon, Didcot Quran Institute and Wilaya Trust Oxford.

I graduated with an Aalimiyyah Degree from Al Salam Institute in 2012 and completed memorisation of the Quran in Riwaayah Hafs from Darul Uloom Leicester. Currently specialising in Hadeeth with Cordoba Academy and studying the Ten Qiraat.

I received a teaching license in the Islamic sciences from Dr Muhammed Akram Nadwi (UK) and attained Ijazah from Sheik Yusuf (Qatar), Sheikh Idris Mahi Kattani (Morocco), Sheikh Salman Nadwi (India) and Mufti Rafi Uthmani (Pakistan).

I'm actively teaching Qiraat/Tajweed, Arabic language, Hadeeth and Islamic studies to students around the UK.
